just in case that sounded a bit insensitive, I did note that you are not injured, thank goodness.:-) I would never have thought of trying to jump over the car and would have probably been in A&E right now.

That's bad shit legless. We have to be so careful because there is some poor drivers around. sounds as if you did the best thing trying to jump it.

take some rest, but get out soon so you don't get a phobia about it.

Worst thing I've had with a car is ending up in the back seat by going through the rear window of a stalled car in a snow storm!

The worst I did was being scooped up onto the bonnet and over the roof of a minicab that ran a red light, while I was on the pedestrian crossing...

On the bike, I ran into the back of a post van at the bottom of a hill, parked in the middle of the cycle lane, right around the corner where I could not see him!!!

I cycled home last night for the first time in about 6 months - 18.5 miles along the thames the whole way, it was the best ride home I have ever had......

Legless - sorry to hear that mate. But it sounds like you were lucky, rather than unlucky. Thank the big man upstairs for looking after you, and hopefully it can be a springboard to better things

Hope your not feeling too battered and bruised today legless, sometimes those types of things hurt more the day after.

Kev - I think I know what you mean. I used to ride 3 miles to work and back on a mtb a few times a month and absolutely hated it. Now I quite look forward to days I cycle to work and back, yet it's 19.5 miles! I think it's something to do with actually liking my job a lot more than my old job! As well as now riding a road bike.
