(It doesn't work if you stop for coffee before cycling home, though :))

Oh. In that case I might need to rethink it

Still good training. Just not practice for going from one to the other.

Well that was somewhat unexpected.
Had a gentle ride down to the parkrun this morning, only 6 miles but after a couple of days riding this week including 35 miles of commuting on the bike yesterday I wasn't feeling that great.
I set off slightly faster than I expected on the run with a first mile at 8.06 and the second at 7.38 I wasn't taking any notice of the pacing on my watch so just pushed on for the last mile which was 7.11! I ended up knocking 2.28 off my PB and crept in under 23 minutes at 22.56 which was 3rd in my age category
The ride back home was less painful than I was expecting but the slight climb away from Frimley wasn't exactly enjoyable to start with!!

Thanks guys.
Now to follow Gobi's advice from earlier and try some more run/ride or ride/run sessions and see how they go.

I am looking unlikely for Dorney. I knew I was undertrained and was prepared to rock up and be slow, but I have a locked lumbar facet joint which is somewhat uncomfortable and I'm not sure it's going to settle much in the next 10 days. Sorry.
