My favourite baked cheesecake is an ancient Nigel Slater recipe which I don't have at the moment but I don't think it used ricotta. This one looks good: themediterraneandish.com - I might try it. It doesn't have a base but I'm sure you could use a sweet pastry if you wanted to. |

Thanks sallykate, that was just what I was looking for - including having no base. I made it today (with a batch of oat crackers, can’t waste space in a heated oven!), and just eaten a slice with blueberries and sour cream 😋 |

It's a much healthier version than that Dr Mags - might not hit the spot for you if you're used to the higher fat, sweeter stuff but I'll type the recipe for you if you'd like.
