Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I had to buy more flour yesterday - we've almost used up all of the 20kg bag I bought in mid April.

I'm relieved that it turned out not to be an insane amount to get, and it hasn't gone bad / become infested.

There are only two of us, but we only have bread, pizza, cookies, cake, roti, etc if I make them. The only exception being when we went on holiday the week before last and bought a loaf of bread, a French stick and a takeaway pizza.

Mum used to make all our bread when I was growing up and flour getting infested could be an issue!

Planning afternoon tea for tomorrow. Scones - plain and cheese, plus two cakes, one sponge-based (probably lemon drizzle) and something more substantial for me, maybe with apples as we have some to use; if I could find dates I'd do date, apple & walnut but they're not in any local shops. Blueberry muffins may appear too.

That sounds like a lot of work and a nice spread sallykate.

I finally managed to get some yeast yesterday after being unable to for three weeks or more. I'd like some gf white bread flour now...........

Supplies seem back to normal here.

Made lemon cake. Think it will need the icing. I had a slice with yoghurt

Random things seem to be difficult to get here Linds - at the minute it's low salt soy sauce of all things.
