Bableves (pronounced boblavesh) is the Hungarian version of a Tuscan white bean and spicy sausage stew/soup using Hungarian "sausage" called Gyulai (a bit like Chorizo but spicier) and with chunks of smoked ham. It's really good on a cold day and what I would want after a long day on the fells - maybe not the best dinner choice in the current "heatwave" !

Sounds perfect after a good day out on the fells preferably with plenty of home-baked bread ( he posted, swerving back on topic ;-) )

And come the autumn, hopefully we can run where we want and if I find myself in your neck of the woods I shall bring some with me :(

saved that one for later, Quimby, thank you :)

(by saved, I mean used "copy me that" - for info, in case it's not widely used, it's a really useful online app thing copymethat.com for storing recipes from the web)

I have a very similar peanut butter cookie recipe quimby but minus the choc chips, just peanut butter (I use crunchy as I prefer the texture), sugar and an egg.

Update on the sourdough: Tasted amazing, especially the crust, but I suspect slightly under proved (even at 26 hours!). Very pleased with a first attempt, will have to learn to be more patient next time.

Thank you Rosehip for the pointer to copymethat. I've been using Evernote sporadically to save recipes but this looks as though it would be more useful.

Nicholls595 why do you suspect it's underproved? I take about 6 hours total to get to the point of shaping (at room temp) then it goes in the fridge overnight. Anything over 12 hours works for me.

Last loaf wasn't as light in texture as the previous two - the difference between Matthews organic and Shipton #1 I suspect. It could also be because I didn't do the initial mixing thoroughly enough, the dough was a bit lumpy.

Going to make my fruit cake this morning. The fruit has been soaking in tea for 48 hours (I was busy yesterday)
