Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Sunshine from the window WS.

I have 3 copies of Bero book. Everything Mam baked came from the Bero book! She used to send boiled fruit cakes through the post when I was a student.

:-) boiled fruitcake is my favourite of fruitcakes - my usual includes a tin if condensed milk :-0 originally a recipe on the tin. Old recipes are great.

Just opened my last bag of bread flour to make the hot cross buns for tomorrow. Rosehip, Sainsburys had sultanas, but no raisins. And no flour of any description

Apparenly there's loads of flour available, just no way of putting it in smaller bags. What's frustrating is that I'd happily buy a 16kg bag of flour (because we could use it in the breadmaker), but I can't find where to get it!

I got raisins and sultanas in Aldi

Flour isn't a problem here, but I'm running low on yeast

_ I usually often buy bread flour from Franklins, but they've not had any last couple of visits - I have plenty thanks to Jackdaw's hint about Shipton mill :)

I ordered some SR flour from the Dolphinfitness link that Sharkie put in her blog about treacle - and some Molasses - no idea when it's due though.

If you can, keep checking for local deliveries converting from delivering pubs and restuarants -I've been googling the names on vans seen delivering locally - I found Damson and Kale ( or is it kale and damson ? ) that way for veg and some chilled items - HB, I think they deliver to your postcode, they're Cambs based.

We had the BeRo book, but mum preferred one from MacDougalls.
