Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

What’s the nicest route up Snowdon?

The Watkin Path looks ok.

From Natngwynant (sp?) and along the South Ridge*, with a quick out and back to nip up Yr Arran (which is a great little peak in its own right) . Great route, enough mountain to be interesting without being scary, not such a long walk in as some of the paths from the west, and far less people on it.

* iirc it's part of the Cambrian way

Last time I went up the Snowdon Ranger path- I'm also bad with exposure and it was a lovely route!

I did the South Ridge up and Rhyd Dhu down. In the covid year when there were often queues at the top, it was a pretty quiet route and there was nobody at the top, but it was a rainier/colder day than some. A couple of short scrambles but nothing scary.

My pal who is a ML said I’ve done stuff much more exposed than Crib Goch, so weather permitting I’m might go for it.

Has anyone on here done both Crib Goch and the Carn Mor Dearg Arête on Ben Nevis? I'd be interested in a comparison.
