Given the auto bagging recognition developents, first Wainwrights and now all sorts, opening up a thread for general discussion and whatever comes next. Fetch's page : fetcheveryone.com/points.php Fetch's blog and background : fetcheveryone.com/blog/3/2023/2/463428 And hopefully leave the Lake District Lovers thread for Lake District topics. |

Thanks um. Happy to consider adding any set of geo-collectibles. All I really need is a list that looks like this: Name of thing, Latitude, Longitude Name of thing, Latitude, Longitude Name of thing, Latitude, Longitude Name of thing, Latitude, Longitude Name of thing, Latitude, Longitude Name of thing, Latitude, Longitude and I can suck it into the database. From my perspective, the next thing I'd like to do (probably tomorrow now) is get these points onto a map. I can see from looking at the database that there are 11 trigpoints and a hill within 0.1 degrees of lat/lng of my house. A map that would show me which ones I'd collected would be great. |

Great, I’ve done a pre-emptive visit to several Dartmoor tors today and will try and find a suitable list from the many “ultimate“ lists available. Other than the Wainwrights, is it a question of all or nothing or will there be an opportunity to opt in and opt out of individual lists? (It’s just that I don’t fancy the Football League grounds one when that is added!) |

For Ethels it's worth noting that not all of them are accessible without a 'trespass'. The original advice where that is the case was that you should only go as close as public access allows. Anyone trying to log them therefore may find there are some they can't get close enough too to trigger with GPS. [IMHO this a rather fundamental flaw in their definition and encourages the wrong behaviour, particularly from those that don't read the smallprint and don't understand PROWs, Access Land etc] |

Is there any chance of these collectable points being superimposed onto the maps we get when we download our training. It might then be possible to just alter a route slightly the next time to take in these points.

Well, it looks like the fellrunners among us have the top spots nailed 🙂 (yes, I know) I find it highly amusing that I have apparently done more Synges than the man himself! |

Is it possible for the items in our collection list to be links that show the places on the map? So if I click on my one Donald Dewey, Shieldgreen Kipps I can see where it was?
