Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

The hyrox sled does seem ludicrously heavy. My lad works out a lot, and he can't shift 108Kg, never mind 125. I'm up to 3 sets of 3 pull/pushes on 118, but my goodness it's hard work, and that's with me being well over 100Kg

Thats the bit that bothers me to be honest, Mac. I can do the row, lunges, burpees. I'm sure doing a lot of thrusters by the time we get there I'll be able to manage the wall balls. Ski-Erg will be tough but not terrible.

The sled pull and push, though! I can imagine me just being brought to a standstill by that sled push particularly.

It does make me wonder, Mark Lewis off of Youtube did Hyrox with his tiny wife, shurely she didn't push that

so the push is heavier than I thought at 150Kg and the pull lighter, at 103Kg. I'm happy doing more than my share of these, but we probably need to sort out how we're splitting it all up.

I'm going to try a push at 150Kg and see how it goes.

That's the thing with the doubles, Mac. As long as the work gets done I don't think they're bothered who does what or how you split it. I doubt if Jen Lewis did any of the pushing at all.

Or the rowing, or the sled pull for that matter.

Tried wall balls today, and they're a challenge

I'm working on the basis that the movement pattern for wall balls isn't too far from thrusters so I need to do a lot more thrusters. Is the challenge hitting the target or just the movement itself because I'm not great at hand-eye co-ordination and I can see me just missing the target.

I'm not brilliant at that either, but the target wasn't the problem this morning, I was feeling it in the inner thighs like when I started swusts
