Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

What did he think? I reckon sleds are a great workout. Non-impact, high resistance (depending onthe weight and surface) and good cardio all in one.

He enjoyed it, and it's an exercise we can do together, relatively long duration and quicker to adjust the weight

What does he usually do at the gym?

I binned my session off last night as I was due to do Deadlifts and squats and was feeling some sciatica twinges. Not a good combo! Discretion is the better part of valour and all that. Did some mobility stuff and feel a lot better today.

he does a load of boxing-recommended stuff, tricep/shoulder stuff with explosive movement. He benches too, but he spends more time boxing than lifting.
Leg day today, 150kg squats, as the weights go up though, I think I need to change my patterns, I've got 2 routines I do on alternate days, and I think I need to split it to have longer recoveries for specific muscle groups

Just listening to a podcast interview with a guy called Tyler Saunders. He was born without a right leg but he's recently done a Hyrox doubles event in just over an hour. He clearly has a huge advantage over us pair, Mac, because of the weight saving. ;-)

I might just cut one of mine off to even it up!

The only downside to using the sled is morons wandering across the track when you are pushing it down it. That, and people leaving it loaded up so high you have a workout to get the weights off to the leave weight you want. I'm up to 65kg now, I can still manage a bit of a trot pushing that. 😁

Joined the hillbillies lifting today, nice bunch, and lift mind-boggling weights, but if you ever catch me doing 4 hour sessions in the gym, can you have a word?
