Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

They don't mention that you need full rotation of your shoulders and able to fold your arms behind your head without 'pulling' anything ;-)

Take care not to stab or injure yourself trying!

Wondered about those random extra loops on my pack. Certainly don’t think I’ve the flexibility for that method though 🤣

Haha I definitely haven’t. My (folding) poles git into the bladder bit of my decathlon backpack. They poke out a bit but that’s ok.

Thanks Um :)

I can make the diagonal work on the smaller vest - putting them in is OK - getting them out/off again not so easy!.
The bigger pack doesn't have the shoulder loop, but I think I can make diagonal work.

Now need to see how it works other than walking up and down stairs !

Ahha! bingo - the 4D loose strap for my bigger pack was tucked into the bladder pocket. Now I've found that it all makes sense.

and googling Salomon 4D pole system finds me loads of videos - most of which have comments moaning underneath that it does work for folding poles only longer ones :)

Tricksy things these poles/cheat sticks - half-hoping I don't find any beneft from the so I can just go back to hands on knees for ascents and daisy-descending

Lol :)
I don't have use for them in my neck of the woods (far too flat and not rocky enough and no stepping stones over picturesque streams) but I really valued them on holiday.

no use on usual routes at home either - hence the deire to try them out on lumpy bits next wk - but the idea of using them doesn't quite sit right - until that is I find they are a miracle!
