Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I've just bought a foodi multicooker - liking it so far. I've done some things I'd normally cook on the hob in it, pressure cooked some dried chickpeas for houmous, experimented with bread/cake and done a bit of air frying. Still getting to grips with what it does and working out how to adjust my existing recipes to best make use of it.

I've been in my flat over 4 years that's about how long I've had my halogen. I had planned to get a proper oven but hadn't got round to it. Don't think I'll bother now

Hopefully I'll have saved on electric that I would have used.
Can even do toast in it so acts as a grill too

I have a multi foodi thing with the single lid, the biggest one.
Use it all the time, pretty sure it saves electric as well as not making the kitchen as hot as putting the oven on.

Get one. They’re quick and easy. We switched our gas Aga off in the spring and bought a halogen oven and a simple pair of plug-in electric rings. I feel like a DJ when I’m cooking porridge 😎 We have also dug out our old electric slow cooker, which is good for stews, curry etc

I'm been impressed with our very cheap and basic air fryer. Different country I know, so different options, but we got thewarehouse.co.nz the only downside is the diameter of the pan means it is struggle fitting things like veggie burgers for multiple people in.

You might find the air fried episode on the Sliced Bread podcast interesting too bbc.co.uk

Also, I've made better onion bhajis in it than I've managed by pan frying or oven baking.
