reason for dual drawer - there is only 2 of us but we find with my parents one I can do say chips in it but I'd tend to have something with said chips, scampi, kiev etc and cooking them on top of the chips seems a pain. Figure with a dual drawer we can use one drawer most of the time or use both if we are doing extra stuff. You can (apparently) get an extra shelf that will fit in so we can even do 2 things in 1 drawer (when the shelf is back in stock)

We have a woodfired pizza oven and the air fryer heats it up a treat in no time and crisps without drying it out as would happen in the oven (we used to put the oven on for a 1/2 pizza after a beer or two - cant imagine having that kind of frivolity now!)

Don’t mind me! Just on a world tour of the forums!

Although I have thought about an air fryer, lots of people investing in things like this to save energy!

I've found that the savings in time are good too, though I suspect over the coming months/years the energy saving will matter more and more.

I’ve managed to get a hold of a Salter Dual Drawer due to arrive today. Now to find room on the bench. Excited. Ordered some racks to allow double use in the drawer too. Oh and a ninja dual drawer cook book for hopefully inspiration and guidance.

I haven't put my oven on in months! Really enjoying the usual chicken tenders / sausages / bacon / air fried chips.... but used it to bake shop bought raw sausage rolls the other day. Perfect....!

Altho I do use my thermometer more now, just to be safe!

My little one (2.5 l) from Lidl is good for a quick light lunch. It'll do a couple of fish fingers and a handful of frozen chips in about 10 minutes from a standing start. And it does scorched corn on the cob very nicely. But at that size it's for snacks rather than meals. Which is okay when I'm back from a run and in need of a quick feed but have nothing microwaveable in the fridge.

Useful, but not essential. If I had to surrender a kitchen appliance on pain of death I'd probably offer up either this or the slow cooker.

Looking at the Instant Vortex Plus Dual Basket With ClearCook - 7.6L - anyone have it? They claim you can get a whole chicken in one of the drawers, but I'm not quite convinced...

Am looking at one with shelves rather than draws - anyone have any pros/cons. The one we are looking at all does rotisserie and have a basket for turning chips?

I have the salter dual drawer which is like the tower one and plenty people on the FB group do indeed cook a whole chicken in one drawer and veg in other.

A friend has the shelved one and I was tempted but as only 2 of us the dual works better as one drawer is enough for most days but dual for bigger meals.

I got some wired shelves so we can double layer rather than putting both drawers on.
