We're really particular about which sports drinks we'll buy for that reason, Hann. Not just avoiding a fructose load, but also avoiding artificial sweeteners with laxative properties. Torq, Accelerade (which I like because the protein content means it's less sweet and has a distinctive taste) and Clif are the only ones that make it into our bottles.

(And mostly I'd rather just have well-diluted orange squash.)

Yup, same here! I get the Torq stuff because of the team, however, I started using it before team membership, as it is good and properly made, no rubbish. Same goes for the Cliff stuff. I tried Accellerade for the first time on a training ride last week. I won a whole tub of it last season... I am not too sure about it, but I think I made it too strong...

Accelerade makes your bidons properly manky inside. And for stuff that's supposed not to contain any artificial gubbins, it isn't half some funny colours. My favourite is the blue one

My Nespresso machine packed up last week. I have to say, Nespresso have been brilliant about it. They agreed to a free repair, despite being (just) outside the three-year warranty, lent me a machine while mine is being repaired, all delivered / collected to me giving a one-hour delivery window. Very impressed.

I went to get my free single espresso from Waitrose this morning. The chap accidentally gave me a triple. I was actually very tired, so appreciated it ... but to my embarrassment when he said "It's a bit fuller than normal; I seem to have given you a triple", I replied "I'm a bit tired-er than normal, so that's fine." Tired-er? I made up a word; I must've been tired. [Insert cringing face.]

Three year warranty? I didn't know about that ... we've only had ours for just over two years
