Steady Edina
I thought that decaffinated coffee was worse for you.

Worse as in what, SE? Worse than switching to wine after 5pm? ;)

(I think it's supposed to depend on how the caffeine is removed.)

Hopefully I've decanted it out of my system. Learnt my lesson - you can make coffee too strong. I think the big clue was how much agave nectar I had to pour in.

Caffeine is sometimes (not always) removed from coffee using a solvent which is allegedly potentially harmful. The caffeine is removed before the beans are roasted and the roasting temperature is sufficient to evaporate off any traces of the solvent, so it's unlikely to be a problem tea :)

I like "allegedly potentially" as a level of risk.

Hmmmm... latter with home ground Lavazza beans :)

Been having coffees in Austria - passable
Italy - awesome
and
France - good :)

Also passed through Belgium, Luxemburg, and Germany but only had some coffee in Germany and it was of the dish/ditch water variety...

Coffee in Italy seems to be just something special. I almost managed to get spoiled for anything else on a flying visit to Bergamo. Even the airport coffee was good enough to linger over.

Swiss coffee tends, on average, to be very good too.

My Nespresso machine is sick. I haven't decided whether to buy a new one or sell my remaining capsules. Probably the former, but I'll go for the cheapest machine this time.

I thought you meant it was really good Vrap, and you was down with the kidz, when you said it was sick.

Isn't agave nectar just very expensive fructose syrup extracted from agave root in a very similar way to HFCS production? So, not only a bad thing, but an expensive bad thing?

Non-tea drinker here and nowhere to talk about the caffeine bean, so I thought I'd start a thread. ...
