I asked for a "goccia". This is a Triestine kind of thing: double espresso with a drop (goccia) of milk. It was very very good. As was the rhubarb pastry, but that is for another thread... Even better: I had company: bumped into a friend so we had a coffee together, on a wall, in the sun. Also a first since September!!! Gosh, I miss seeing friends... I live alone, so not been allowed since coming back from a quick dash to NL to see my sister. Two week quarantine on my return, straight into strict tiers, lockdown, tiers, lockdown... Meh!

Only disadvantage of buying a kilo at a time: opening the bag happens much less frequently! I also bought 900 grams of organic Macchu Picchu beans from Waitrose, on offer at £9 worth a punt. Anyone tried those?
