Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Haha! One of my kilo bags of beans is from the Jumbo in my sisters village!

I drink two cups of freshly ground coffee a day plus I tend to get friends dropping round for a "proper" "barista" coffee too, so 3 kgs don't last me that long! I admit to never looking at the roasting date but once opened, I keep my beans in a pottery crock pot. It seems to keep them really fresh.

I have bought from Simon Lévelt before, more so for tea than coffee. It's the same problem though, it's over an hours round trip to the nearest branch unless I buy online, and at which point I am only a couple of hundred metres from Bean Brothers who roast fresh on site...

The last online order was from Fascino, it was a selection box and I ought to order some more, as I think there are a few darker ones I haven't tried.

And right on cue, the postman delivers...

Three different kinds of espresso beans to try, and considering I only ordered yesterday I can't complain. Two of them were roasted 2 days ago, and one of them was roasted yesterday. So roasted, packed, and shipped on the same day.

My hand grinding days are over, I am now electric :-) And I have had a delivery of beans, which makes me very happy.

Thanks, Sam for the Fascino tip. I haven't been able to travel back to Alkmaar for a while but I will try them when normal service resumes.
