For those who aren't aware, I am part of the team that is putting together the 'endurance' webinars. We are keen to continue with the 'digital endurance' offerings over the remainder of this year, and will likely see this become a standard offering from EA going forward.

We have lot's of content planned over the next few months, covering subjects such as middle-distance, 5 / 10k, marathon, ultra, physical prep, physiotherapy, phycology, nutrition, and more.

If there is any specific subject / topic that you would like covering in future England Athletics webinars let me know and I will get it added to the schedule.

The EA webinars I have watched have been really very good. Want to work my way through them all in parallel to doing my Endurance Event Group coaching qualification 👍. Lots of catching up & learning to do!

Glad to hear you're finding them interesting. You can re-watch any webinar on the Athletics Hub (www.athleticshub.co.uk). They are normally loaded up within a week of the 'live' event.

I hope you're enjoying the EGC course, the online training has some excellent content...especially in the planning. When it comes to the integration day (or weekend if it's virtual) you will be going through planning, so make sure you have a good understanding of the Macro, Meso, and Microcycles etc.

olde english
so starting a new 'couch to 5k' course in my village (started a new running club www.youlgraveharriers.com in March..seemed a decent way to boost members). Done a few in the past...but not in the middle of the Peak District. Its peaky. I have a flat (for the Peaks) route to get people started on so thats fine. However hills are unavoidable and big and long round here so i'll have to sneak them in towards the end or they ll never be able to run anywhere fun. And definitely in phase 2.. 5k to 10k. Anybody got some 'fun' hill sessions in their locker to share? I have my own backbook..but they're me friendly as opposed to nervous new running people.

I reckon short not very steep with big recoveries, but if I were you I'd get them well into their c25k, hills are pretty daunting.

I am trying to picture your village and there is some flat areas North isn't there, will get a bit dull, but loops are no bad thing for beginners and returners!

suppose i ve the monsal, tissington and high peak trails all just 3mile ish away in various directions from the village where i could send them for their homework if they express terror at hills and trail. im sticking in the village with the group runs as that where the recovery pubs are :) gentle hills for shorter reps prob will be the only way fwd initially.
