Can't see me running again the way my knee is 😕


I understand your situation MM, I’m in the same situation. I’ve managed to get referred to the physio firstly now, however I am doubtful that my knee will ever be sorted again to allow me to run with the way it feels 🥹

Morning gonks. Mr W seems to have rested well, he slept in our bedroom last night which he never usually does. I've just fed him and he is relaxing again.

The "race" was a low key Trust 10K which I really enjoyed. Plan was sub 9 minute miling for around 55 minutes and was a bit quicker than that. Got chatting to a couple of runners on the 5th mile and pace dropped but hit my target so all good.

Sal did 1.02 for 10k so many times last year. Today- 1.01.52 so she's v happy!

Sorry to hear about such painful knees. I also feel your frustration Mandy re beong made to wait - a friend needs heart surgery but because they can still (just about) walk a mile - very slowly- they've been told they won't mive up the waiting list till they can't walk 100m. Surely the outcomes would be better now, while they're still slightly fit?

Anyway, my race... I wasn't last :-) and taking a paracetamol half an hour before the start seemed to keep my knee sweet. Ish, anyway :-)

yes indeed, it's a fairly hilly route but such a nice place to run and it's free!

Nice crisp morning at parkrun and Alfie had a 2 minute PB so he was happy. I need something to eat.
