Boo to bad knees :(

I’d planned a 9ish mile out and back run that I’d done before. Ended up doing 11 somehow. 🙈 Then cafe visit afterwards. Always the best bit.

Glad to, inadvertently, get a double digit run in. But looks like 2024 is going to be the year of the blister :(

Well done on the 11 miles Kim. What socks do you wear? I got some Versus socks and they're so comfy and I never blister in them. They've got a sale on too.

I last had year of the blister in 2017 and went through all the socks, talc on feet etc. Vaseline seemed to work in most cases. Though had some issues with different Saucony’s last year.

Think I got a bit complacent about Vaseline on feet and that caused the one this year that’s just about gone. Today’s was right above that one.

Thanks for the recommendation though.

I used to get a lot of blisters, and found that double-layer socks usually prevented them, and also "toe socks".

Hilly TwinSkins for me every time. Never had a blister when wearing them (mind you, I rarely have a blister with single skins either but I like the feel of the double layer.)

I got a blister yesterday after my round and round the track run. Was in a slightly odd place on my foot - hope it doesn’t happen again.

Idris, that may be because you were running in circles. New hot spots on your feet. I've heard of that happening before.
