You’re such a ⭐️, Carp xx Morning all. I’m having a very lazy time in Rhodes. A little bit of walking and swimming every day is all I’m asking my body to do. Will have to up my game when we get home. |

Morning! Adds more to the pile for Carp. Good to all those whose races haven't been cancelled today. |

Morning! More for Carp xx I'm going to go for a walk to the seafront shortly - it's nearly high tide - to witness the power of the wind. However I plan to stay on the other side of the road because I have no wish to be hit by flying pebbles! A run later (our grape picking day having been cancelled) when the rain has gone through. |

Amongst all the shitty news today, I am bery sorry to read that Chris Hoy has a terminal cancer diagnosis. He always seemed one of the good'uns - brilliant athlete without being an arrogant twat and trying to use his success to encourage grass roots cycling. I do hope the news pays him credit for 24 hours then buggers off and leaves him in peace. |

Yet more for Carp. Horrible for the lady who broke her ankle. In fitting retribution for my smug comments about the weather yesterday, it is vile here this morning. I hope it cheers up later as promised. Mojo conspicuous by its absence with things as they are |

I'll see your rain and raise you snow and hailstones, CD. Only fair for Nuuk in November. |

While wishing to avoid a similar weather related retribution to CD, I still can't resist saying - Torrevieja, sunny, highs of 28

@Sweetie can I ask a question which is only tangentially connected to running please? As you're in Torrevieja - what's Murcia like? Worth a long weekend? I'm looking for a sunny 10k in February somewhere where there's stuff to look at/do/visit and ideally, good for OH to cycle. (I'm torn because the Torremolinos Half weekend has the attraction of being very sociable with clubmates but I really don't want to do the Half and the only alternative is a 5k. Plus we've 'done' Torre, and Malaga, quite a few times now.) Another possibility is Alicante 10k but I get mixed reviews about Alicante as a destination, plus there appears to be a big hill on the route! If anyone else has any advice/comments they'd be very welcome! |
