@ItsBeginningToLookALotLikeIdris I'll be running the 10 mile tomorrow. Dropped down from marathon. Was too wet to attempt York today as it was grim this morning. Walked around the city walls instead once the weather had cheered up a bit.

It is much better now - after I finish work at 5 I am planning a walk (went off to Northallerton for parkrun this morning which was at least dry!)

Sorry about GSR all you thwarted folks and well done everyone who battled through today. I don’t mean to gloat but it has been beautiful here all day. Nice change given that we had 70mm of rain in 24hrs on Wednesday

Sorry about GSR :(

Gatliff went OK today. Plenty of rain on the way there to top the mud up, many hills (and nettles) and just one casualty - a runner with a broken ankle it a really inaccessible spot necessitating carrying her for a mile.
Just about 35 miles in the end.

Incredible, Carp, the way you just bang out 35 miles while nearly everyone else (CAZ honourable exception) looks out the window and goes "nah".
