I slept in my running kit with the intention of rolling out of the door first thing but I was woken ahead of my alarm by thunder, hailstones and a howling gale so, funnily enough, I had a lie in. By waiting a couple of hours I managed to catch a break in the rain for a quick run and I'm feeling pretty smug about that!

Sombrero-ho-ho-ho 6 Jan 10:34am, 6 Jan 2024 13,818 posts	0 Sombrero-ho-ho-ho Morning gonks. We did Alvaston as there was a pacing event. Sal did sub 30 and I overtook the 25 pacer at around 2 miles and did a fast 3rd mile. Waiting on times but my watch says I equaled my fastest parkrun from 2023 which was also 24.18 at Alvaston!

Also bumped into a friend from cricket club who I'd not seen since the end of the season, and a former work colleague (worked together for 25 years) whose taken on some of my responsibilities since I retired.
