I must ask Mandy to put mine in the thread list. I didn't last year.
Chickens fed. One of the 'chicks' (now bigger than most of the older hens) and one of the two we're suspecting is a cockerel has, I think, just tried to crow. Ah.

I missed the first bit of Carp's post and though MM was asking for the chickens to be sent over! Will the cockerel have to go Carp?

First coaching session done - and some much needed strength work - I don't half notice when I miss this for a couple of weeks...

Fierce and Festive Fleecy
nobody likes cockerels... went to Rebound, it was cancelled. Did 5k on the treadmill in the gym. It felt like 50k, ugh. Ran home again very relieved to be outside even if it is windy and makes me cough!

*feels sorry for the unwanted cockerel* When we kept chickens we had a bantam cockerel called Sergeant Bill. He was very attractive to look at, being a Welsummer, and was a real gentleman. When we put the food out, he would stand beside it and call. The hens would then come and eat. Not until they had had all they wanted did Sergeant Bill take his turn.
