Hope there will be good news about CAZ's clubmate today.

First Thursday morning club run of the new year and we had our biggest turnout yet :-) A lot of mums with school-age children have clearly been chatting in the playground and as the kids went back yesterday several of them were glad to get out for a run this morning :-) The only problem was having such a wide range of running speeds - even with 'looping back' we got very strung out between regrouping stops.

Anyway with that, and running down and then back home again it gets me into double figures on the mileage target :-)

I'm slightly concerned that RA will be turning up 3 weeks late to run E24 according to the list ---> ;-)

Also PP are you really doing 4 x 100 Milers this year? :-O Am in awe.

Isn't the umbrage still on the cat?

I too thought Mandy meant send the cockerels over :)
I would probably eat them but there is no way in hell that Mr Carp or T1 or T1.5 would allow that. T1 and T1.5 are insisting we keep them. I can't see that happening; they'll probably go to the breeders in the village.

CStar - I attempted the Centurion Running (http://www.centurionrunning.com/) 50 Mile Grand Slam in 2017, completed it and liked the idea of it and the extra motivation to not quit, so the obvious thing in 2018 was to attempt the 100 mile version :-)

The training is very similar, if only completing the races was

About This Thread

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2018 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed and sometimes even some running is talked about.

Next year's spreadsheet can be found here - let's fill it up
