Popping in for the first time - though my record at keeping up to date with this thread is pretty terrible!

Kicked off the mileage with a very short run on Tuesday - there will be another short one today.

Will PM MM my races.

lol at Sergeant Bill.

Surely you can make a good broth out of a cockerel (gallo)?

Sergeant Bill sounds cool

I am feeling shattered and have a headache coming. Can only put down to giving blood yesterday and not drinking enough fluids. Am sure chocolate will help - wont it?

Nhoo Shoooze are here ~ I'm very glad I kept with my proper running shoe size rather than trying to compensate for the Innov8 precision fit :-) . Although I've only tried them on and have just been wanderingg around the hose so far ... I barely know I have them on ... :-) So far so comfortable! :-)

I have tea, a glass of water and now some choc. :-)

I need new shoes but cant decide whether to just go for the same or whether to get my gait tested again.

New shoes can be a pain can't they? I ended up getting some cheapies in Decathlon recently (I use them with custom insoles) as I can't really justify the price I'd have to pay from a proper running shop. The latest version of my usual ones is truly awful so I had to find an alternative.

Yup. I paid a fortune and am very happy with mine, but I couldn't pay that every time.

Been for a walk to the post office.

About This Thread

Maintained by Merrymoo
Welcome to the 700 miles in 2018 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed and sometimes even some running is talked about.

Next year's spreadsheet can be found here - let's fill it up
