Thanks, I read it yesterday & commented
I haven't read the 80:20 book but the thread & video on fetch is pretty good. I found that both Jack Daniels (Red & Blue general fitness) plans I followed this year were almost sport on 80:20 polarized by time.
I am currently following the Hanson Marathon Method, mainly because I want to do some longer runs for a change of scenery. I haven't worked out what sort of split that is. It is probably not as polarised as marathon training seems to be at threshold, with not much work over it. As I am not really training for a marathon, I am running some of the speed sessions faster that specified (using Jack Daniels paces as a guide)

SteveC amid the winters snow
I'm happy to say I ran a 5-mile virtual today at a WAVA of 72.72 so I now have three distances above 70 so Fetch has awarded me a Thompson's gazelle and a 71. I need to improve my 10 km a bit to get a 72
