Hey guys, I'm sort of back after what is probably a couple of years of very intermittent running. I've been lurking around here this month deciding when to make my move and pop my head above the parapet :D
Funnily enough I'm also on 29 miles for January although I'm actually quite happy with that based on last years lack of mileage.
I'm not following a plan at the moment but am using the daily recommendations from my Garmin watch which is giving me an interesting variety of runs and nothing too long/far. Working from home allows me to get away with doing these during my lunch break which is working out well for me.
I've also set it to use heart rate as the target which is both frustrating (I've never ran so slowly before and am having to run/walk) but also encouraging in that I'm already starting to see my pace creep up for the target heart rate (still very slow for me though).
I'm hoping to get a decent base before starting HM training later in the year for the GNR.
So anyway, happy new year everyone (still January so think I can get away with saying that!) hope everyone is well and has a good year running ahead of them and while I expect I will still mostly be AWOL I will hopefully pop up now and then to say hello

Virtually no running for me due to health and fitness reasons, but I have walked 80 miles this month.

Well done, everyone. 29 is double my tally so keep going.
Annoying calf strain has put everything on hold for a couple of weeks.
