Not sure if it's been mentioned on here but my album of the year so far is Bob Vylan, humble as the sun. A real toss up between that and Cheekface, but Softplay has a chance of overcoming both.

Softplay's Punk is Dead is a masterpiece.

Of the Mercury Prize nominations CMAT's album is brilliant, funny, singalong pop genius; if she was more conventionally "good looking" she would be on her to ruling the world, which says ore about us than her appearance.

Still get excited listening to Sprints' Letter to Self. however, most played record is Enjoyable Listens' Trapped in the Cage of a Hateful Bird. magic.

I'm a big fan of Los Campesinos! and their new album, All Hell, first new stuff for 7 years, is excellent. But Sprints is holding on to my album of the year spot for now at least.

Yep Sprints still my record of the year, both Beth Gibbons and Jessica Pratt are still in the running tho.

New Los Bitchos EP is my current kitchen dancing record, such a fun band 😎

Nice to see Los Bitchos get a mention, indeed fun.

The Corinne Bailey Rae record that is on the Mercury prize list wasn't what I was expecting based on what I had heard from her before. Quite varied and interesting.

Got this today

Not the greatest recording ever (are stadium gigs ever?) but had to get it, especially as it is the recording of the night we were there

We saw CMAT last night and she was awesome live! One of those acts that is a lot more than just the music.
