We had a trip to a newish micro pub/taproom on Friday. Excellent beers and fantastic burgers from a streetfood van. 1. Rigg & Furrow Brewery - Jett. This was a 5.4% cucumber and juniper saison. 2. Brewis Beer Co - Turning Tides, a 5.8% American pale ale. In front of the TV on Saturday night: 3. Full Circle Brew Co - Twister, 5.1% raspberry, lemon & lime sour 4. Good old Brewdog Punk IPA

We had a little trip to the East Midlands whilst my eldest visited Loughborough Uni. The following was not all at once:
24. (draught) Pieminister Pie PA no strength information. Apparently this used to be brewed by Bath Ales, but not any more. Lots of hoppy bitterness, very little else going on. 25. (draught) Newby Wyke Bear Island 4.6%. Disappointingly the pick of the weekend. Very pale (it's a blonde) and a little creamy. 26. (bottle) Lion Ceylon Lager 4.8%. My only grumble was that the menu said 500ml, but the bottle said 330ml. 27. (draught) Leeds Pale Ale 3.8%. This one didn't taste right. It might not have been properly looked after, but my wife had a half of Oakham Citra from the pump right next to it that was lovely. I suspect that there was something wrong, but I'll be wary of future Leeds ales (although you don't see many in this neck of the woods). 28. (can) Fourpure Citrus Session IPA 4%. Pleasant enough, would have been nicer in a glass.

I can't count, 15 in total for me. Didn't write an earlier brew down in my note book.

Quiet weekend. Okay, Okay we had some wine!
Cans
Seven Brothers, Salford, Juicy IPA, 6.0%, which was very good, and their Easy IPA, 4.7%, which was a touch insipid, probably had them in the wrong order.
Cask Katherine, NZ Pale Ale, Donkeystone, 5.0%, very good indeed.
Cans
Vocation, New Musick, Hazy Pale Ale ( these things can be vegan ), 4% Vocation, Love and Hate, NEIPA, very strong so unbalanced as regards taste, good but if you are going to Brew a beer at that strength it needs more oomph.
Keg Freedom Pale Ale, 4%, insipid.
Cask Donkeystone Modern bitter, 3.8%, not sure what was modern, not malty or hoppy enough for a very good bitter. Nice enough.
Bottle La Chouffe Blonde, 8%, very tasty indeed Spitfire, Shepherd Neame, an old favourite,
Cans New Can tonight. Phaedra, Pale Ale, Ponoma Island Brewery, Manchester, 5.3%
Table Service 3.2% cloudwater Lagonda, Pale Ale, 5.0%, marble Factotum Pale, Ponoma Island 4.0% Sonoma Pale, Track Brewery, 3.8%

Quiet weekend. ,Daily Bread Bitter, 3.8% Abbeydale, Sheffield. I like that one and also their Moonshine (pale ale @ 4.3%) and Absolution (5.3%) Used to see them quite frequently in some of my Notts haunts but not seen for some time now.
