Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I think they must read this thread, I got a reply this morning ;-)

Neither an accept nor a decline, too far ahead at the moment, I'll still try and do the run with him either way :-)

Good they got back to you Gus. I think they do planning in batches so I was going to say give it a little longer!

I'm planning to join Ben tomorrow. I'll be on my bike however as I'm really not up to a marathon!

I thought that yesterday morning LWR when I set off to join Ben in Carlisle for 8 miles. 26.2 miles later.... What a thoroughly pleasant, inspiring and down to Earth guy. Mum and Dad are looking after things at home organisation-wise for him, but the media has caught on now so they're very very busy but they will respond in time.

Ben's just been on 5 News. I've spent my birthday cycling round Preston with him and about twenty other nutters, most of whom ran. Genuinely splendid bloke.

The last chance to run with Ben. Share and enjoy. Indicate if you're going (both here and on FB but most important on FB so they get an idea of numbers).

Just run a few miles with Ben in Bedford this morning. Enjoyed the company and the banter as well as the run.

I ran a few miles with Ben today in the sun, rain, hail, snow and wind.

He's a lovely guy. Hoping to join him for a bit tomorrow as well.

I only managed about 4 miles because I'm still sore from London at the weekend. That excuse seemed pretty lame though seeing as he's just done 239 in a row!

There was a great piece during the VLM on Sunday about Ben.

About This Thread

Maintained by Nightjar
Let's support Ben Smith who is running "...401 marathons in 401 consecutive days around 309 different locations of the UK. The aim is to raise £250,000 for two fantastic charities, ‘Stonewall’ and ‘Kidscape’. Both these charities work tirelessly to combat bullying in our schools and society."

This is a staggering commitment - no injuries or days off feeling poorly are allowed. He is a lovely chap, a joy to run with, and he'll run at anyone's pace. He has already inspired many people to run their first marathon with him.
