Enjoyed the interview on the radio and of course, I agree with Nightjar about sport in schools.

Marathon 263 done for Ben today in Aberdeen and pleased to report he plans to continue after a very emotional start when he told us that this was the make or break run for him today. I gave him a lift to the physio after so hope they have been able to ease his pain. Very brave guy :)

I'm glad he's continuing as when he did #281 in Stoney he said it was his most painful so far. He's an inspiring guy I really hope he can get fixed so he can continue to #401. It must be such a strain on his body though. I was quite glad not to have to run yesterday after doing the marathon with him.

We had a good chat in the car after and he was certainly in a much better place mentally that he was in the morning, just hope the physios have helped him physically.

That's good DQ.

I forgot to say in my blog but when I was running with him he grabbed my hand and pressed it against his torso and I felt his hernia pop out!

You will be inspired Scorge, hope you can do the full mara too.

He's being sensible, and I love that he's still planning to do 401 in 401 days. Hope he recovers well.

About This Thread

Maintained by Nightjar
Let's support Ben Smith who is running "...401 marathons in 401 consecutive days around 309 different locations of the UK. The aim is to raise £250,000 for two fantastic charities, ‘Stonewall’ and ‘Kidscape’. Both these charities work tirelessly to combat bullying in our schools and society."

This is a staggering commitment - no injuries or days off feeling poorly are allowed. He is a lovely chap, a joy to run with, and he'll run at anyone's pace. He has already inspired many people to run their first marathon with him.
