Good going Steve - looks like you're having a fantastic year, even with having had to manage the odd niggle.

I don't think it is a mindest with XC - even when I first started doing them at 26 (when I was quicker) I would still regularly be beaten by people I'd beat in a road race. I think I'm too scared of falling or getting injured - in road races I'm good going downhill and rubbish going uphill, in XC it's the other way around.

Get well soon, AL. The bugs seem to be doing the rounds early and hitting hard, this winter :-(

Some exceptional running seems to be going on *greenwithenvy*

08/100. Indeed :-) Today didn't go according to plan :-( ~ the split 10k didn't happen as SWMBO* needed me available. I did, however, sneak in an easy >5k this evening. I was tempted to stay out and do the 10k but the frost and darkness was making it rather interesting! :-)

* She Who Must Be Obeyed (and as she's literally the only reason that this sorry carcass is still alive and annoying ~ she's dragged me back from the dead more than once or twice and I only whinge halfheartedly when she needs me ;-) )
