Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Next ultra for me is the Sherwood Forest 100 in September. Might do one or two shorter ones if I feel like it before then!

I'm still over, just. It's getting difficult with me targeting 10K/5K races over the summer as I need to taper a bit to be on optimum performance which is hard doing 62Km/week. I've got Binfield 10K on Sunday but I'm thinking of doing it as HM pace since I will have done about 50Km this week before I race. I reckon I'm going to only pick 1 or 2 of my races as PB attempts and then I will do a mini taper (maybe 2 days off) before them

My first long(ish) run post-Manchester marathon this evening takes me passed halfway to target :-) I've had an easier six weeks, but it's time to start building the miles back-up, with Autumn targets in mind.

Just had a look at the list and some of you are way out in front!

Pretty pleased with my 40:58 at Binfield 10K on Sunday off the back of a 35mile+ week, especially as the course was downhill for 5K (19:33!) and uphill for the last 5K. Next race is Yateley 10K on June 1st (my birthday). I'm going to talk the same approach with Yateley (ie no taper) until the last of the 3 races which will be my target race. Then I'll taper a bit and see if I can PB.

50 miles down following a 2 week holiday and foot infection but back in the swing of things now so should start slowly clawing that back.

with a bit of luck I'll get 200 miles in this month. Have recovered well since Hope24 and up to 9 miles again with a long run due this coming weekend.
