ohh..TP100..I remember it well! One year and in my first effort was "pulled" at the 100 mile point (that year it was 102 miles because of diversions and it was in March) with hyperthermia! Hope the weather improves this weekend. Enjoy and good luck SilverStrider.

I see from the table listed in the sidebar that I have the lowest monthly mileage this month of everybody who is still ahead of the break even point... I justify that to myself as I'm taking my marathon recovery more serious than everyone else
Well done all.

You deserve a rest Nelly, you've earned it more than most. Time to get back into it though. What are your plans for the rest of the year?

Cheers postie, you're due a few easy weeks yourself aren't you??? Yeah, definitely time to get back into it now. I've done 20miles in the last 3 days, to get my monthly mileage over 100 and it felt like all my marathon fitness had disappeared.
I'm not sure yet about plans for the rest of the year... although I realised today that there's only 4 weeks until I'd need to start an 18-week schedule for Chester marathon if I decided to do that!

A few easy weeks? Certainly a couple then back into it. I've entered some races between now and October so along with parkruns, shorter and faster stuff for the rest of the year. A 20% reduction from marathon mileage is for the benefit of my body and gives me more family time as well which keeps Mrs P onside for VLM training next year.

my "sweeping" role was shortened! Intended 42 miles but ended up only doing 14 miles simply because there were other volunteers to fulfill the role after I was getting seriously chilled behind people who had STARTED the race , walking! (they were pulled out of course within that distance for missing cut off times even at that early stage). 15 though this morning was easy.

The Hope 24 hour began at noon on Saturday. Tougher course than last year with some really steep hills on lap course. 17 laps gave me 88.7 miles, 13 miles further than last year and second placed female. Quite pleased with that. What next?!

Well done Torey, cracking performance and a great way to make up miles for the 2000!
