Hohoho, Doc! No, not staring at our own bathroom walls. Indeed we were out looking for some new ones for the bathroom, about to be redone as the current one is suffering the after-effects of some pipe leakage.

Great work, Gobi. London is shit. That is my opinion and I respect others that have different views.

I love all the London coverage - but having done it once I'm not that fussed about doing it again, not really my cuppa tea. haha just read your blog Gobi - I have tried to do some regular yoga, just utube videos but I do think the flexibilty and strength is amazing and like you I am absolutely dreadful at it sadly I was quite bendy before I started running but now I'm awful, and sitting at a desk or in a car for most of my life hasn't helped feeling a bit stiff after sunday did a few miles run/walk yesterday to try and loosen up |

Jono.
The toe nail will never be the same again pikelet. 3 miles this morning, 61 for the month, slightly pleased with that. |

Great blog Gobi. I'm a year ahead of you on the Yoga journey. I'm still not very bendy but didn't feel a thing in my calf's and hamstrings during or after Sunday's 26miler. I picked my first classes carefully but now I don't care if I'm the most awkward in the class. I use "downdog" app at home. Still not got beyond the beginner level but that's fine. Short very easy recovery run done. Over 50s yoga session next. |

Well done Doc, Pikelet and Oranj (and anyone else running VMLM that I may have missed). We went down to the start with our runners from the club, hung around for a bit, watched the start and waited for Mr Jenny to come through then walked and jogged around to catch him at different points. We just missed him at 13-ish, but saw him at 6 and 22.5. His run walk strategy went out of the window when he met someone we know from a local Cardiff club and ran with her to 15 miles, which was the first time he walked. He was about 1 min 20 slower than Newport last year, which considering he lost about 5 weeks of training to various injuries and illness he was really pleased with. Well done too to _andy for the Highland Fling. We spent all day on Saturday on our way to London tracking our friend doing the Fling, and getting text updates from her husband. She was told at 40.9 mile checkpoint that she was just under the cut off point (at which point she sped up) - but turned out she’d been 4 minutes over, and she was stopped at 47 miles - gutted for her as she’s worked so hard over the last 6 months, haven’t seen her in person yet but thankfully she doesn’t seem too disheartened. I’m planning to grab the April stats around 10pm tonight so if you want to get any last minute miles in, best get them logged before then. Also, please make sure your target is set to 1500 for the year if you want to be included in the warm up. |
