NDWDave, I think it's a different race - there's one in March called Rhayader Round the Lakes, which is a 20 miler. It's in the same area though. If your mum won the one I'm thinking off, I think that's a pretty tough race!

I witnessed the devastation of a hanging basket limply hanging at a jaunty angle due to one chain breakage. It contained a begonia.
We plan to run this evening. Wind dependent.

10 seems to be the distance to do this morning. Unless you're a lazy git like me who's done nothing.
I saw some damaged heras fencing and awnings on the way to work, apparently there's a couple of roads closed due to fallen trees, but none on my route.
