We sat in the car for ages. We were starting to think we'd perhaps gone to the wrong place, as there just seemed to be lots of families bringing their small children to football training, but then people looking like runners started turning up, and a man in a parkrun RD jacket. We were very relieved. Apparently, Irish parkruns start at 9.30, and we'd got there early for a 9.00am start (note to self: read the info on the website). Still it did mean we managed to park easily, being practically the first there apart from a couple of dog walkers.

Thoroughly enjoyable, very friendly and welcoming, as parkruns usually are, and an amazingly confusing twist-turny-uppy-downy course - wouldn't like to be a front runner for that one, glad I had lots of people to follow.

Glad you didn't get lost on a new-to-you course JK :-). At least you had a relaxing preparation for the run rather than a last minute mad dash!

I seem to be running a lot of Parkruns recently, all at my home run, each of the last 5 non-pacing ones have been faster than the previous one, resulting in knocking off 2¾ minutes since mid March :-). Not that I am racing them ;-), but I am using them as tempo runs. The proper test will come on Thursday when I have my first race for 7 months, a 5k League race :-).

Went to my home parkrun this morning. Still taking things easy and not worrying about times. Was surprised to see I was 15 seconds faster than last week!

Hope everyone running tomorrow has a good one.

We're at the VLM, met up with friends who got a very early bus down from Cardiff, we missed a few of the junior races but caught the start of the penultimate one and are waiting for the last one to start. Lots of shoving going on before the start line!
