Funky Monkey came home with me yesterday, he had come to Draycote 10 to support Fetchies that were racing, he did a good job as he helped me take the title of first female, also cheered lots of Fetchies on for pb's which was pretty hard going on such a windy day! :-)

Now need to work out how to get him to the next 1500er.....

I've had people looking in me shorts, pulling me tail, jiggling me about. Horrendous day at Draycote Water 10.

But I'm now out on tour. I'm with Team Jigs at the moment. A lot more civilised than the previous incumbent.

Can anyone get me up to that Jono character bloke? I'd like some time on the peninsular and have a go on his bike.

Reading Half completed yesterday in 1:48:49 not what I was hoping but the course was harder than I expected and the hill at mile 8 destroyed me completely battled to the finish.

The fact that I only came in 1min 30secs slower than Wokingham just proves how much I have improved over the last 6 months.

That being said for the first time in quite a while my legs are feeling the affects of the race

Hey Alex, good running. Woky is flat as a pancake and the conditions were ideal. Reading isn't and the conditions weren't. 1m30s difference is great going.

Are you doing Bracknell Half in May? That has a hill that will make the one at Reading look tiny! For me that's about 2mins slower than Woky, but I always try to beat the year before's time.

Yeah will probably end up doing Bracknell this year and beating last years time will be no issues what so ever as I was coming off an injury last year and it flared up at mile 8 then so finished in about 2:20 last year.

Bracknell will be more of a training run than a race as I know the course all to well and Harvest Ride is a real leg killer at the best of times ha ha

Jono are you near Manchester? We are doing the half there at the end of May and Funky Monkey could continue his travels.
