Afternoon Fetchies, some top running going on here, well done everyone.

We're on the train back from Ludlow - had a nice weekend, did a couple of long and very muddy walks. I was sure I checked last week on the parkrun events page if there was one in Ludlow and saw nothing, but just found out (today sadly) that one did start last week and the second event took place yesterday. Ah well, there's always next time.

I've got a new pair of Saucony Omni on order as my current ones feel like they'be seen better days, but may try one of the Hokas next time.

Afternoon all, great running everyone.

With 42 days till my next marathon I though I'd better break out the shoes I'll be running in for this mornings 20 miler. Despite them only having done about 300 miles they don't feel as comfy as my main pair which are getting close to 1100 miles.

Anyway a nice and easy, if rather wet and windy 20 mile LSR was done, the shoes were fine so I see no issue with with them on race day.

Split Summary
===
1) 1m - 8:10(8:10/m)

2) 1m - 8:04(8:04/m)

Last but one club XC race done today, our ladies team in first place going into the last race, no pressure then? Yikes! Will be good to get the last one done in 2 weeks then can concentrate on marathon training :-)

Jono, those 4 fit looking young men probably couldn't run 20 miles! :-)

Great running all. Very slow 10 miles for me this morning and the wind wasn't doing me any favours either!

Hi everyone. A very slow plodding 14 miles for me this morning in an unpleasant blustery wind. Struggling a bit with my longer runs at the moment, finding them hard-going on reluctant legs. Lots of runners out and about, including quite a few fellow club members (the ones who weren't doing a XC thing, anyway).

Traditional roast chicken dinner this evening, and OH and DD2 have made us some rather delish choc brownies for pud.

Absolutely awful 15 mile run done. Very blustery and hated every mile. Struggled with my heart rate so whether I'm coming down with something I don't know.

I was uncomfortable, wore too many layers, too hot. Hated my shoes. Hated my laces.

Not sure how you all so long 20 milers.

Nice running. I did Tunbridge Half. It was more hilly than I expected.

Reading various threads on Fetch it appears runners found conditions very tough today wether racing or training.
