JK think I was (unintentionally) running faster to keep warm. Plan failed when I stopped to chat at the end, though I did strategically place my jumper on a tree just past the finish funnel so I could grab it straight away.

Felt sorry for the volunteers who had to stand around in the cold.

Hope you're all well gang. Just checking in. Getting old and can't run and keep up with thread anymore. Am sure it is still the greatest thread on Fetch though? And there is still lots of talk about porkpie?

Jono.
morning - waves manically @ Matt :-)

bit chilly this morning, but it was nice and welcome after all the rain - sun came out whilst running which cheered me up no end. Lots of other people out running, cycling, walking dogs, just walking, some children.

So anyway set of for my LSR of 20 miles - this week I was minded to put some effort into the first couple of miles and not dawdle about - then once I'd cleared Hoylake and was on the very flat coastal path give it some beans (other vegetables are available) and not forget to concentrate on my pace.

1) 1m - 9:30(9:30/m) 130cal 6.31/0mph (ooh this is good)
2) 1m - 9:18(9:18/m) 130cal 6.45/0mph (too fast)
3) 1m - 9:30(9:30/m) 130cal 6.32/0mph (not bad whilst climbing Bidston hill)
4) 1m - 9:17(9:17/m) 131cal 6.46/0mph (too fast - running down Bidston hill)
5) 1m - 9:13(9:13/m) 130cal 6.51/0mph (sprightly run up in Bidston hill))
6) 1m - 9:27(9:27/m) 131cal 6.35/0mph (good pace - wee stop))
7) 1m - 9:14(9:14/m) 130cal 6.51/0mph (slow down)
8) 1m - 9:21(9:21/m) 131cal 6.42/0mph (whoop whoop)
9) 1m - 9:33(9:33/m) 131cal 6.28/0mp
10) 1m - 9:23(9:23/m) 130cal 6.4/0mph
11) 1m - 9:27(9:27/m) 131cal 6.35/0mph
12) 1m - 10:09(10:09/m) 127cal 5.91/0mph (onto the prom @ hoylake, met with string head wind - swallowed a sportz bean whole, coughed)
13) 1m - 9:32(9:32/m) 129cal 6.29/0mph (running against head wind)
14) 1m - 9:47(9:47/m) 131cal 6.13/0mph (bloody hell - bollocks, shit))
15) 1m - 9:48(9:48/m) 131cal 6.12/0mph (must not go over 10 mm)
16) 1m - 9:39(9:39/m) 131cal 6.21/0mph (onton new brighton oooh the wind is easing we like this)
17) 1m - 9:29(9:29/m) 130cal 6.33/0mph ( ooh, lets catch that young lady up - she was worth catching up :-))
18) 1m - 9:19(9:19/m) 130cal 6.44/0mph (liking it)
19) 1m - 8:45(8:45/m) 129cal 6.86/0mph (lets do some desired mp - boom)
20) 1m - 8:42(8:42/m) 130cal 6.89/0mph ( and again - boom boom)

averaged 9.25 pace.

this run was fuelled by last nights pizza - one of them is favoured by gay men in M&S food hall apparently & a Fetch buff :-)

music included foo fighters, Florence and the machine, Beatles, wings, Fleetwood mac, lady ga ga & bruce sprinsteen.
