I have had most of the week off, got another cold โ˜น๏ธ. Seriously annoying. Hoping to try a run on Sunday if I'm a bit better.

Hope your feeling better GG.

A couple of miles at a time is better than none Steve, keep it up.

Hello to Swittle and DT ๐Ÿ‘‹.

HS, like you I'll keep going as long as possible, albeit in a lower league. It would be good to still be running at 90, but our enemy Arthur Ritis may possibly stop me earlier. Meanwhile, I am still plodding on and enjoying running 5 times a week, sometimes with my wife (73), and sometimes solo.

I am always thrilled reading about the successes and accomplishments of all of you other 1000ers; keep telling us all.

Thanks, Lesley, Hope you're soon on the mend.

hillstrider, Hugh Jones has an impressive 'CV', and I'm assuming he was an amateur competitor. The Liverpool HM, a favourite of mine, used to start/finish in Sefton Park - but it's such a peaceful and well appointed area for walking and sightseeing.

64 miles to go, 11 'running' days left - I run every other day. Could be a 'photo finish'!

Good health & running to all here! :)

Great committed runners here, I enjoy reading about the miles being done! Colds..ugh..Lesley, I think I used to get them more often when my offspring were nippers! Hope you and gg recover quickly.
Exciting finish coming up swittle so hope all goes well.
As for "carrying on" like hs and Evangel I'll be doing the same. Doesn't look up to much right now ( only 1.7 this morning ,my foot complained at the mile mark...and I wasn't running a six minute mile pace๐Ÿ˜‚) but I'm ok with low December trots anyway. Getting tuned up for 2022!

Sorry to hear that you have another cold Lesley, and hope that you will feel better to enable you to run on Sunday.

Evangel, good that you are running consistently 5 days a week. I also hope to be running at 90, if I live that long ๐Ÿ˜

Swittle, I've only run one half marathon in Liverpool and that was in 1985 in The Wirral.

I've run the Liverpool Marathon 3 times, 1982, 83 and 84. The 1982 marathon was my first ever race and I ran it in 3.40.33.
Good that you are running every other day.

Steve, I'm sorry to hear that your foot complained again this morning, and hoping that you will be rearing to go in 2022.

I ran my quickest 5k this morning since March, in 26.41, an average of 8.34 minute miling and WAVA of 73%. I think turning 76 has given me a boost. ๐Ÿ˜

Hello all

Apologies I am rubbish at posting anything.

Love reading how you are all doing and the support of this thread. I somehow much to my amazement went through a 1000 miles back in October, thank you to those of you who sent me a congratulations message. This year is my highest ever mileage year ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Hope those of you who are suffering with colds etc recover quickly. Stay safe everyone

Oh no Lesley get well soon. This cold Iโ€™ve had just kept coming and going. Currently gone and we did manage a couple of runs 4 yesterday and 3 today we stuck with running along the docks.

Had a fab weekend and itโ€™s so good to be back running.

Keep the great work going guys strength training is more important as we get older. Arthur Ritis is not a very friendly friend

Well done Lorraine I really want to try to get another 90 to meet the challenger Iโ€™ve signed up for on garmin, it was split into 4 segments to run 2021km this year and while Iโ€™ve already done the distance I have ti do 314 Oct-Dec.

That's a swift 5k, hillstrider: I just checked your profile and, in your age category, a v impressive effort. :)

Lorraine, let me add my congratulations on reaching the thousand so early! :)

geordieclaus - did you run along Otterspool prom? Great views of the river!
