Well done Steve getting out there running and enjoying it. That's what its all about. I wouldn't still be running if I wasn't enjoying it.

Today was a 47 minute training run comprising 10 minute warm up, 2 x 12 minutes tempo with 3 minutes recovery, 10 minutes recovery. That was tougher than it looks, especially running in heavy rain 🌧

Well done everyone. I did a parkrun.
Drum roll. I did it 1 second quicker than last week 🤣I was first in age which makes me happy…

Well done LL, you must be very pleased with your self.

It's ironic that after 70 consecutive not a parkrun, and parkruns are back, I'm not doing them. I think we will probably fit the occasional one into our Marathon training schedule though 😁

Looks like you are all working hard.

Our Parkrun starts next week, not sure how it will be with everything and how busy it will be. The committee met this morning was nice to do something a little normal.

We have quite a bit of rain this week, managed to miss most of it. More forecast over night. It was really needed.

Steve, back to strength training, sorry took ages to reply. I was using the sufferfest app, its more for cyclists but it’s structured and you build it up slowly. Pretty good turbo training videos too and yoga.

Lesley our parkrun hasn't got back to previous levels yet but I don't know about all the others. Our previous nearest parkrun hasn't restarted either but not increased our numbers. Also we have had a few tourists too, holidaying in the area.

None of the Scottish ones have started apart from Orkney and Shetland. We were worried about numbers as the ones in Aberdeen didn't get the go ahead till Thursday. Our one looks great, the trails are very green at the moment.

I'm hoping you don't have anything to worry about, we didn't but it didn't stop us though.

Ours isn’t as busy either but think the fact that it has been peeing down the last few weeks has helped.

My local parkrun won't be reopening. My next nearest is Southampton and they had 1,200 last week. Despite having 2 jabs, there is no way that I would run in such a large crowd.

Today was meant to be an easy recovery run after yesterday's workout, but at one mile, I "bumped into" a running friend who was running in the opposite direction. She was doing a 5k run so we ran together until she had completed her run.
