Still easily, steadily on target for the 1,000 with some wriggle room. Surely the top group on the leaderboard should seriously consider transfering to 1,500 or 2,000 thread. Those struggling to keep pace must get downhearted; sorry, not meaning to offend but being so far in front makes the leaderboard a bit silly to me.

No offense taken steve45 & I see what you mean.
I must admit, I have clocked up over 1500 miles each year for the last 4 years. I'll ponder it for the rest of the day. Mind you, I'll be 66 this year, I've got to slow down soon.
Seven & a half miles for me this morning. It was very muddy up on the Downs after yesterday's biblical rain.
Enjoy what's left of the weekend everyone.

I have considered it for the last few years - but I like it here too much, the chat here is lovely and it feels like home. I’ll go if that is the general consensus though, and would add that the Spine Race made this January a bit different. It is a stupid distance to do in a month and highly unlikely to be repeated.

I have also thought of moving target but as MrsB has said this has been my “spiritual” home since I joined fetch .... so I’m going to change my target to what it actually is but will still follow the thread and the banter of course 👍

ran 10 miles today for the first time in two and a half years. surprisingly not knackered, but made a mistake by a) picking the beach and b) not getting there earlier, 62 banked for the month, just ahead of the master plan.

Mrs B., it's quite reasonable to want to stay with the lovely people on this thread, even if you raise your target miles.
David, you're still very much in your youth! You may have more than a quarter of a century of running yet. There are - to my knowledge - 3 of us who are in our 70s. I don't think we are ready to be chucked out with the rubbish yet!

Still marathon training in the hope it goes ahead and did 18 miles this morning. A gentle breeze and a lovely morning sun with a light frost but not slippy.
I am only on such high mileage because of marathon training, I suppose my target would be 100 mile months or 1200 miles for the year but because of marathon training erring towards 1500 miles for the year. Like folks above we've been here for a few years and like the friends and family we have here. Not being on THIS target list wouldn't be the be all and end all but it's nice because it's on this thread. If I change my target I'd feel I ought to contribute to a different thread and I'd find new friends and family and then why would I want to be on here. Food for thought.

Almost 12 miles this morning in the forest. Was nice to be off-road but boy was it icy. Had my yaktraks on. Looks like it's going to be cold again this week so it will stick around a while longer 😭.

Oh - I don't think I realised I could stay here and change targets.

Yep we can stay and take the Micky/enjoy the “Bants” but not be on this leaderboard .... I’ve moved across to my actual target of 2021 👍
