Below zero here too, and pavements icy on the way to the forest. The trails were icy too, so I was pleased with my 27.19 for my 44th consecutive not a parkrun.

Set of with a dusting of snow on the pavement which had frozen then the snow started about an hour in .... a good inch of heavy snow during the run .. then it was trying to rapidly thaw by the time I was running home and the sun was shining, glad to be now sat in the warmth of the living room watching the kids all sledging in the fields across from our house

A slippy, slidey, boggy recovery run around some playing fields this morning. A 5 mile run instead of the planned 4 to make up a little for the 5 mile recovery run I missed Wednesday.

Sorry Gromit, Husbando looked at forecast and it is going to snow tomorrow so I dragged my leaden legs out of bed and ran to the coffee shop 13 miles away. All that was keeping me going was the thought of a cinnamon roll and a cup of tea in the car on the way home.

And the best thing is that I now only have to average 4.5miles a day until the end of the month to do this silly challenge! Thank you for making me aware of it Gromit.

I am completely in awe of you running 13 miles for a coffee Mrs B - your mileage this month is just off the scale.
I hauled my tired body around 5.6 cold miles today - the old legs just can't cope with running 3 days in a row - have to rest tomorrow.

It took me well over an hour to run five & half miles this afternoon. I ran up onto the Downs through Clapham Woods. The bridleway was just like a bog, I spent most of my time walking & sliding upwards towards the top of Clapham Hill. To be honest though, I thoroughly enjoyed it & couldn't help laughing to myself at the atrocious conditions. How I never fell over is beyond me.
Not sure if I'll get out tomorrow. The forecast is for heavy snow, but I've heard it all before. The South Downs normally acts as a natural barrier to snow falling in our neck of the woods. We shall see.

Still bloody cold here, ice is still there so road run for me today. 10 miles in the sunshine. I was overtaken by the commonwealth marathoner Robbie Simpson, he was flying, made me feel extra slow.
