Sorry I haven't posted for a while. Been reading though. Things keep getting added to my calendar so December will be busy, can't wait for 2 weeks off work over Christmas.

Enjoy the rest of your holidays GG and LL.

Great running everyone, well done at Meridian Ed. FF give it time, I am sure you will find the love again.

We had snow last week and it was really cold. I didn't run on Thursday as it was really icy. It went from mild to cold within 24 hours, big change. Doing the school run on foot (easier than driving) wasn't pleasant but we got it done. I went out on Saturday before the 'storm' came. All the local parkruns were cancelled so my 100th will be on the 7th of December not this weekend.

The woods were lovely and white, it was ice on the ground and the breeze was blowing ice crystals off the trees. Most of it was gone by Sunday morning.

Jack that’s a great effort 32km.

FF give it time I’m sure you will get the joy back in running.

GG very jealous I have HK on my list of places to visit. Enjoy your holiday.

5.5 miles yesterday and today with some speed sprinkled in with 2 mins on and 1 min off. Certainly felt that 😳

YTD 1221 miles.

Thanks all, since drastically cutting back I have certainly enjoyed the runs I've done and I'm looking forward to doing more of the same but without the regularity of Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday just when I feel like it.

What a holiday so far gg and for sharing. But ouch to those poor calves!

Good to note your six miler done FF and that you're simply running whenever you fancy it .
The woods certainly looked pretty Lesley but the snow sadly and usually disrupts things here in the UK. We rarely get snow in this part of Wales although twenty miles north it's regular during winter.
Super outing with your friends hs and with that added twist with regard to your route .
Well done on your 32k Jack, solitary long runs need determination.
Unlike lots of people I don't use races/events as my motivation to run. When I last did an event in 2004 that itself had been my first for a decade! I think I'm fortunate to live in a household where we are interested in all aspects of running (but not events anymore for me!) and share all sorts about it

A mere 1.6 miles this morning, too tired!

Wow Lesley those pictures are so pretty.

I got to do my 200th parkrun in Florida on a preserve which was beautiful.

Hope to get two more in before we leave. Still struggling to keep on the line but at least now I’ve less than 100 to do. Holiday sounds fab GG.
Listen to your body Steve ( do as I say not do) my glute thing is still bothering me 😉
Well done everyone sorry I’ve not got time to comment on everything but I am keeping up to date.

Fantastic to do your 200th park run in Florida LL. Bet it was warmer than here!7 Looks like you'll reach the 1000 ok and you're almost perfectly on track.
I'm listening to my body LL ! Felt awake this morning and 5k was ok although wet roads and the low temperature wasn't the best run/ walk conditions. ( Still stuck on run/ walk and can't see an end to that. Haven't yet implemented my planned changes to my efforts)

Amazing pics, Lesley. It feels a world away from here.

Congrats on the 200th park run, LL. I’m still on one!

Well done on the 5km, Steve.

Well done on the 5.5 miles, MrHSC.

A 9km run for me today during the lunch break. The calves have been very sore in a good way (if that makes sense). It was tough going as it was very humid but I thankfully dodged the thunderstorms.

When snow looks like that Lesley it’s beautiful, but the ice is awful hope it got no worse.

Hope you’re having a fab time in Florida and what a venue for you 200th parkrun Loo. Wow.

We love HK, MrHSc it’s our third trip. Might have to cut the ties and go elsewhere next year and see if our friends in HK can join us, I really fancy Malaysia or Thailand (but off the beaten track)

We’ve been to Macau today but if an eek moment when the length of time on passport is low, but they only need 30 days and I’ve got 4m! Anyway back in HK now and we go home Monday. New passport then, quite sad as this one has travelled the world (shame you don’t get stamps everywhere these days)

I will endeavour to run tomorrow and think we’ll have a chilled day! We’ll come home exhausted at this rate!

Glad you’re enjoying the runs you’re doing FF and that you’re listening to your body Steve and well done for all the running. It’s hard come winter for sure.

Thanks for the lovely photos Lesley.

MrHSc, well done for yesterday's 5.5 miles including some speed work.

FF, I'm glad that you are now enjoying your running again, without being tied to a rigid schedule.

Steve, I don't need races either for motivation. I think that the maximum race distance for me now is 10k. My weeks of high mileage training for marathons are long gone. I'm happy parkrunning, which officially aren't races, but I run them at my best pace. I will be 79 for Saturday's parkrun, and it's the runs 150th anniversary.

Well done for yesterday's 1.6 miles whilst feeling tired, and this mornings 5k.

Congratulations LL for completing your 200th parkrun! Does that qualify for a t-shirt, or is it 250?

Well done JackFW for this mornings 9.5k run.

It sounds like you have been having a great time GG. I hope that you enjoy tomorrow's run.

This morning was 5.62 miles with Mike, including 5 x 100, 5 x 200 metres with 30 seconds recoveries, and 4 x 400 metres with 60 seconds recoveries. These efforts were round the Marina, and it was very windy, blowing from Southampton Water, which was very choppy.
