Thanks Steve, I agree with that statement about the level of effort in reps etc. Well done for this mornings 5 miles.

I ran a hilly, solo 4 miles fartlek on roads this morning. I read an article yesterday on the Runners World website about the cardio recovery rate, so decided to give it a try. I ran in-between the hills at warm up pace, and noted my hr at the bottom and top of the hills. My recoveries to the start hr were less than 60 seconds, so "healthy" in accordance with Runners World.

It's quiet in here today. 7.8 miles done which included my April virtual mile attempt. It was very windy and 0.8 of the mile had head/side wind with a helpful 0.2 back wind for the 'sprint' finish. It was a seasons worst but if I don't get another chance at least it's done.

Well done FF for your 7.8 miles including the virtual mile attempt.

This mornings Farmers Walk done and dusted, and now looking forward to tomorrow's parkrun.

Well done everyone. The wind is awful FF.

I was out early yesterday, it was a gorgeous morning with a great sunrise. Nice and warm too, first outing for shorts this year. Then a day at the allotment - making the most of the sun.

The wee man is fine, but I am having an issue with my eye (previous history of infections) so went to the opticians this afternoon, been referred to the eye clinic, appointment tomorrow morning so I will miss my run. Was tapering for the race anyway so no big deal but still annoying.

There has to be a season's worst and for that matter a worst for every distance! Good distance FF and well done for your virtual mile within it .
Consistent Farmer's Walk is proving constantly beneficial hs, hope you're pleased with the park run outcome today .
Shorts at last for you Lesley, Spring has finally arrived up there then . Hope the eye is ok and as you say, missing a run at this juncture is no big deal.
Calm, dry and 10c here early this morning. First flowering poppies along trail verges, hawthorn blossom and plenty of bird song during a gentle 4.3 miles.
Not to bore everyone with my on going issue...here is the latest. The letter from my consultant a couple of weeks ago outlined my response to exercise and said she'd be happy to discuss interventions. After getting through to her secretary early this week I was told she'd call me. As it turned out I received a letter yesterday with a telephone consultation appointment. On 28th May!! This works out at five months since having the exercise stress test!

I’ll have a read back when I find my glasses but a little update from Gran Canaria. Lovely little complex and we’re right next door to mam and dad. Dad has properly embraced holiday and sunshine and is so relaxed it’s lovely to see. We’ve been walking to get our bearings and today mam and I went for a run to Maspalomas and ran back along the beach. The sand gaiters are amazing.

Mega behind the curve but I’ll make up in time.

geordiegirlyou’re very like your Mam.
Well done. Good to know the gators are ok.

parkrun in Malaysia this morning. They start at 7:30 to try to escape the heat but still almost 30 and 93% humidity.

Sorry just caught a bit of Wi fi and no time to comment on everything.

It's good to hear that the wee man is ok Lesley, but sorry to hear that you are having eye problems. I hope it will be sorted out tomorrow at the eye clinic.

Thanks Steve, yes, I am pleased with this mornings parkrun, see below.

Well done for this mornings 4.3 miles run.

I see that you have now got an appointment for a telephone conversation with your Consultant on 28th May! Five months from your initial stress test. This is deplorable, and you must be very p...ed off.

A lovely picture GG. It sounds like you are having a lovely time with the family.

Well done Dave for this mornings 11+ miles.

Well done LL for this mornings parkrun in Malaysia in the heat and humidity.

This mornings parkrun was back in Bartley Park and the notorious course D, the one with the 4 hilly laps, finishing at the top of the final hill. I was pleased with my 29.28 and 63rd out of 115 runners with a WAVA of 68.19%
