Steve, there is definitely no point in my doing the bleep test this evening. I wouldn't get any benefit from it, and would probably need another rest day.
Well done for this mornings 5.2 miles, partly on trails. Good to hear that your hip is responding well after physio.
Thanks GG, no I don't think that I have a bug lurking, it's probably because I pushed on when I should have eased up a bit. I won't make that mistake again, except in races.
It's good that your hr was a couple of beats lower this morning.
Well done for this mornings 4.6 miles on the dunes. It's really tough running in the sand, whether it's damp or dry and powdery.
Fingers crossed for Jordon, and stay safe🤞
The usual Tuesday Farmers Walk this morning, and hopefully back to normal tomorrow.

Well done on all your running everyone. Some really great miles there.
Sounds like your are having a great time GG, hope all goes well in Jordan.
Good luck with your Ultra Dave.
Sounds great Mrs B. Let us know how you get on with your target race, might give your training plan thing a go.
Maybe wise to have some extra rest days HS.
I have have/had a bit of a cold as well as a dodgy eye (it's just an infection easily treated). I didn't run at the weekend and did an easy couple tonight. Felt ok but it was a cold strong wind.

Greetings from down under. Good to listen to your body HS. Running in sand dunes sounds tough I hope you do get away GG. This will be a low mileage month for me. Grabbing a few miles where I can.

Hope you have an amazing time down under Loo
Hope the rest day helped you hs and your soon back out. Always wise to listen to your body.
Good luck with the race MrsB and Lesley hope you’re feeling better soon.
Steve well done on more miles. Belated well done for the long one FF & Dave
I should have ran today but we decided to go back to Puerto de Morgan as it was so nice there and it’s our last day. My garmin tells me I’m 25% heat acclimatised more than I’d be if I wasn’t here so fingers crossed it helps. Can’t believe I’ll be there this time next week.

Good 6.9 miles and back to normal after your Farmer's Walk hs. Well done especially after your efforts this last few days re HR. Low mileage won't harm LL, breaks are important too . Ugh to a cold Lesley but you did well getting out despite the cold wind. This time next week Jordan gg! How exciting and great that you are somewhat used to warmer temperatures now. (It's chilly here this week). Only did a couple of miles today in addition to weights and goodness knows how many exercises in the house ! Back to my normal tomorrow.

The two rest days have paid off Lesley, see below. I hope that you are feeling better now after your cold!
Make the most of your time down under LL. You will benefit from a lower mileage in the short term. I am benefitting from my two rest days.
Thanks GG, as mentioned above, I am benefitting from my two rest days.
It's good that you have been acclimatising to warmer temperatures in readiness for Jordan.
Thanks Steve, today's session with the Wednesday Crew comprised 5 x 800 metres, with 90 seconds recoveries, run out and back. I was very pleased with my reps. the quickest in 4.28 minutes. My average hr was 128 bpm and max 150. I think that this means that I have made a good recovery. I will do a very easy pace run tomorrow, and hopefully a good pace parkrun on Saturday. We haven't decided on which one yet.
I would just like to thank you all for your concern over the possible outcome of my Sundays high hr average. 😀

Lesley, on the two races I have done so far (a 10k and a 10mile) I’ve beaten the predicted time (and got a PB for the 10 miler). It feels odd not to have run 20+ miles in the run up to a marathon but, as my physio said last night, I’ve got through to this point without any injury or new niggles.
GG - good news on the heat acclimatisation. I didn’t get that message when we were on holiday, but yesterday I got a Garmin message telling me I had aclimatised to the ‘altitude’ at home!

One wonders about accuracy of some gizmos! My Garmin tells me this morning I need 47 hours recovery after a fiver miler of just run/walking !
5.2 miles on trails with frosted fields along the way this glorious sunny morning. Quite happy carrying on the way I do until the end of May when I finally get to discuss what's going on with my engine!

Garmins are notorious for incorrect details Steve. One of our Wednesday Group told me yesterday that after a hilly Ultra, it came up with "Recovery" How could an Ultra be a recovery run. I expect Torey has had some wierd readings after her Ultras.
Well done for this mornings 5.2 miles on trails.
It was lovely and sunny, but not too warm for this mornings hilly road run. I decided to be sensible after yesterday's interval session, and ran an easy pace 7k, increasing it for the last k. Average hr 127bpm, max 155. The max was at the start and gradually came down.
Tomorrow will be a rest day, and hoping for a good parkrun time on Saturday. I don't know which one we will be doing, it depends on the weather.

No running here today it is time to head home. It’s been amazing and in someways feels we’ve been away ages but now it’s home time it feels too soon. Still very grateful to have been away and more so with mam and esp dad who has loved it all.
Not long to go and hope you get some answers at the end of May Steve and well done on your 5.2.
I feel undertrained for Jordan MrsB I wanted at least marathon + back to back half before the run but thanks to this sodden bug I’ve never managed more than a half in the past few weeks. But they do say better to be undertrained than exhausted or injured and I’m not racing just completing. Good luck I’m sure all your fab training sessions will pay off.
Glad the rest days have helped you hs and as always great session!
Hope you’re feeling better Lesley.
Any news on the new car pick up FF?
