Well done on your PB Mrs B! Hope you manage to enjoy the Easter break.

Hope you are enjoying your well deserved rest LL. Best to help your recovery.

Some good miles going on there everyone.

Hope you are feeling better soon GG.

I did get out on Thursday morning, I did a loop in the forest all by myself. I didn't get out yesterday before Parkrun. I was RDing and didn't get a good night's sleep so opted for more sleep and had to setup. Big turn out!

I did get out this afternoon and used this week as a cut back week so 7 miles done. It was a cold bitter wind but I'm glad it didn't rain.

I am planning on signing up for a 15 mile race at Balmoral, it's at the end of April. I now need to get a few long runs in beforehand. It will be the longest distance I have done since 2018!

16 miles yesterday but no time to upload it or post a comment about it.
My watch said it was a tempo run and I'm not arguing with that. I struggled at the end but I may blog about it.
Some great running going on as always but I've only just caught up with 2 days of posts so I'll not comment individually.

You must be fed up with the cold days Lesley so well done on your Park Run input and that 7 miler. A 15 mile race seems good to target.
Another fine long run FF, if it was tempo then you're definitely flying.
Chilling east wind and damp this morning but my 4.3 miles was surprisingly enjoyable...but if course I'm still only managing to run/walk, or quite often merely walk/run! The postman has been and still no letter from my consultant which gives me the on going excuse to continue my regime of run/walk!

Well done Lesley for MD at the parkrun with a big turnout, and your 7 mile run.

Good luck with your 15 mile race at the end of next month. That doesn't give you very long for a mileage build up.

Well done for yesterday's 16 miler FF.

Well done Steve for this mornings 4.3 mile run/walk, walk/run. Very disappointing for you that the consultants letter didn't arrive with this mornings post.

A very pleasant bright and sunny morning, 🌞 but still fairly chilly. I ran an hilly road 8k with a running friend.

Keep at it Steve, keep at it!

Well done FF on the 16 miler and your 8k HS.

I know I don't have long to train but I did do 13 miles a few weeks ago and almost 12 the week after. I am not going for a specific time - it's hilly too but to say I did it. I am planning 3 more longer runs and then a very easy taper. Will see how it goes.

Your training to date will get you round a 15m I’m sure Lesley good luck.

Steve just saw your training entry hope you have some answers along with the comment from consultant. I hope so & well done on today’s run.

I’m sidelined for the foreseeable this bug is taking hold and I’m exhausted. Hopefully won’t impact what I’ve done so far… worst case it will be a nice hike around the desert.

Thanks Lesley...even though I can't call myself a runner (currently!). Four miles was enjoyable in damp , non Spring like weather although it was nice to see bluebells in flower (English ones, not Spanish!).
My consultant 's letter informs me that my cardiovascular system is limiting my exercise tolerance. (As I suspected). The tests show an abnormal autonomic nervous response which is often seen in patients who have long COVID.
A treatment involves a medication which will be trialled and reviewed to monitor effects .
I'm mulling things over.
Ah well, somewhat as I suspected and why running has been so very hard. It's a good thing that my keeping HR data over the years and recognising a big change persuaded me to chase things up this last three years .
I'll plod on regardless!

That’s interesting Steve and good to know they’ve find something and a possible treatment.

GG when is your trip? All you training will still be there. Try not to worry. Lesley you’ll do great plenty of runs done.

Garmin suggested 11:49 pace for 49 mins so went with that as feeling a bit tired.

I'm sorry that you are still feeling unwell GG and hope that you soon feel better 🤞

Well done Steve for this mornings 4 miles.
I see that you have, at last, received the Consultant's letter. It seems hopeful that there is a possible treatment for your condition. In the words of the Spenser Davis Group "Keep on running."

Its been raining all day today, so just as well it was the Tuesday morning Farmers Walk.
