I phoned my consultant 's secretary again, which I did three weeks ago. She is still on leave. Hmm . There are, I was told, 150 letters waiting to be sent out! What kind of system is this?!😂. I guess though that I'm not at death's door or somehow communication would have been expedited!

That's awful information to be told. How can such a thing happen or be allowed to happen. I rate the NHS but there are some things I just can't understand.

Well done LL and Steve for your 4.4 miles.

That's disgraceful Steve, 3 weeks leave with no backup 🤔. Why can't anyone else post the letters, it doesn't make sense to me.

No Farmers Walk yesterday, as I drove into the village, and into the supermarket carpark on the way back.

This morning was 6.27 miles in the forest with the Wednesday Crew, including 5 x 1k round the 1k loop with 2.5 minutes recoveries.

That doesn't make any sense Steve, I would have thought someone would cover. That is a hell of a lot of letters to post out. Hopefully you get it soon.

That's a good session HS.

I did an easy run last night, it was the last run of the C25K block. They are doing their 5k later in the week and celebrating at Parkrun on Saturday. I will be RD this week.

Will be an easy run tomorrow, depends on if I have company or not. Not decided yet.

No Farmer's Walk hs! However..!!!...no harm in having a bit of a break from your physical endeavours. The 6.27( arghh!) certainly made up for it though. Good session.
Yes, my thoughts too on my letter! The phrase " not my job" comes to mind and that sadly is and has often been the retort in many situations. A pity but I'll just have to lump it.
No activity for me today, this first day of spring but back to routine tomorrow.

Sorry! Been busy and not keeping up with the group. Easter holidays are a week away… I start them by jumping out of an aeroplane for charity before getting on one to travel to Texas.

In running news… I’ve carried on with my RunDot training programme. I had Salisbury 10 in the programme as a B race. The programme gave me a predicted time of 1:21:20. I was not optimistic- I’d be driving to Salisbury directly from a school residential trip to Bath & Bristol - so not much sleep and grim food! This was made worse by discovering, late on Saturday night, that I hadn’t packed a sports bra! Had to get up extra early and drive nearly all the way home to meet with Husbando to pick one up. He said I looked awful and wondered if I was safe to drive!

My warmup was horrible. But the race was excellent. It was by no means flat, but all the hills were runnable. I kept looking at my watch in disbelief (thought I might be hallucinating as I’d already seen camels). I ran 1:19:41 for three and a half minute PB. I felt so strong at the end - my last mile was the fastest mile. Was second fastest female for our club too!

Went out tonight for a speedwork session, cruise intervals in the first half of a run that ended up being 7.5miles.

That's an excellent race result Mrsbridgewater, what could you have achieved if rested well. Congratulations on your new PB. bunting

That C25k last session has crept up fast Lesley! Hope they all do well and your RD on Saturday goes well.
I can't get my head around the letter thing! No point in having a go at the person on the end of the phone.

What a busy amazing time you're having Mrsb. What a fantastic pb over a ten miler, you're obviously training better than ever before and just as FF said, if everything else had been in order you might have done even better. Seems you handle ugh situations very well!
4.5 miles this morning keeps me on track even though I wonder at times what for?!

Well done MrsB, that's an excellent time for the Salisbury 10 miles. I didn't run it this year, but have done for many years. It's not what I would classify a pb course, so especially well done. I note that the last mile was the quickest, so I can visualise you sprinting round the running track to the finish. I hope that you didn't have any problems driving away from Salisbury, it's notorious for nose to tail lines of traffic.

Well done for this mornings 4.5 miles Steve. You are still clocking up the miles which is the main thing.

I decided that I would take a running rest day today, as I've been pushing myself lately. To make up for it, I walked briskly to the supermarket and back to buy a paper.

I went out this morning with a time slot for a fraction over 8 miles. I managed to squeeze in 9.3 miles by running faster.
